Let’s see blindness more clearly this month.
Yesterday a visually impaired library user, her friend and I shared some ideas on available materials to make library use easier for non-sighted individuals. The library user checked out a few Playaways and luckily I had information from the library’s September vision program on hand to provide her some take away materials. She even took an application for the NJSL Talking Book and Braille with her, as downloading audio to a flash drive seemed like an interesting idea .
This is an inspiring classroom writing challenge.
Here are a few other efforts to help folks see things more clearly with or without 20/20 vision.
Thanks to the New Jersey State Library Talking Book and Braille for sharing this talent.
